Welcome to the Norwich Early Dance Website
Norwich Early Dance Group was formed in 1984. We are a collection of enthusiasts brought together by a love of the music, costume and dance of past centuries. Our aims are to promote and preserve the knowledge of Early Dance, its place in our cultural heritage, and to enable the enjoyment of such dance by members of the group and the general public.
Come and see us perform - see our events page, or contact us to book us for performances or Workshops.
29th Early Dance Circle Festival
Norwich Early Dance Group are delighted to announce that they will be hosting the Early Dance Festival in 2012, for the second time. This is a national event run by the Early Dance Circle (external link), and brings together dancers interested in historical dance, both professional and amateur, from all over the country. See Gallery 4 for a few snapshots of the Festival from 2005 which was held at the Assembly House, Norwich.
Thanks to the generosity of the Assembly House (external link) the Festival will once again be held there, on Saturday October 13th, 2012. There will be a limited number of tickets for the general public to attend the festival in the afternoon. For more information, including downloadable booking forms, visit our Early Dance Circle Festival page.
